August Week 1 layout for Being Scrappy...

Morning Everyone!

The August Kit for Being Scrappy now comes as one monthly Kit rather than being split into weekly Kits. I will still show you 1 x layout for each week of the month but I can now mix and match the papers and embellishments from the entire monthly Kit if I want to.

The papers for this week's layout are from the fab 'Knee Highs' range from Basic Grey. I had some pics from my friend Clare's 40th birthday that were perfect with the papers. We celebrated in style with afternoon tea at The Athenaeum Hotel in London. Yum!

I used the burgundy Bazzill as the base for my layout.

Next cut a 7" x 9" piece of the spotted 'Hopscotch' paper, ink the edges and stick down to the left side of the layout.

Then cut a 5" x 12" strip of the floral 'Cats Cradle' paper, ink the edges and stick down.

Cut a 6" x 11" piece of the pink 'Hide & Seek' paper, ink the edges and stick down. Trim three 6" x 4" photos to 5.5" x 3.5" and stick down.

Take a couple of the manufacturer's strips and trim to 4" and 4.5", ink the edges and attach to the bottom right of the mounted photos.

Cut some strips of the pink 'Hide & Seek' paper and use to these for your journaling. Stick down.

Punch some flowers from the papers and attach to the top left and bottom right of the photos. I finished them off with buttons threaded with some twine (all from my own stash).

Finish with a title using the matching Basic Grey Alpha that comes with the Kit.

You can see the layouts that Niki came up with this week if you pop on over to her blog.

Niki is offering a fab offer this month... if you sign up for a monthly subscription during August you can have this kit for the promotional price of just £20 (usually £25) and your postage is absolutely free!

Thanks for looking!
Kirei x
